ACRL/NY Mentoring Program Info Session

ACRL/NY is pleased to offer a mentoring program for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ACRL/NY Mentoring Program contributes to the professional development of librarians by pairing experienced academic librarians with Library & Information Science students or those new to the field. Applications for mentees and mentors will be accepted July 18-August 17, 2025. On July 30th at 2pm join ACRL/NY Mentoring Program Coordinators Shawn(ta) Smith-Cruz and Eamon Tewell at an online information session for an introduction to the mentoring program, to help you determine whether it may be the right opportunity for you!

The Information Session will cover:

• Application and selection process
• Mentorship pairing considerations
• Perks and expectations of mentorship with ACRL/NY
• Timeline and next steps

We encourage attendance and invite questions from prospective mentors and mentees! Registration is encouraged but not required. The Zoom link will appear on the ACRL/NY Mentoring Program page at 12pm the day of the Information Session as well as emailed to all registrants.
