Design Thinking for Libraries: Planning Small and Large Scale Library UX Projects
Presentation by Lisa Gayhart, Director of User Experience at NYU Libraries

Lisa Gayhart is Director of User Experience at NYU Libraries. She holds an MLIS from the University of Western Ontario and an MA in Design from NYU.
In this presentation, Lisa will speak about the theory and process of design thinking in libraries. She will discuss the theoretical and practical differences between "UX" and "Design" and discuss the process of design thinking for libraries.
More specifically, she will provide examples of how to apply design thinking to any library or project (big or small, low or high budget). Lastly, she will discuss her upcoming journal article, which will be published in the upcoming issue of Weave: The Journal of Library User Experience.
